Paulo Gomes was born in 1976 in Caracas, Venezuela. In 1999, he took Refuge with Lama Ole Nydahl. In 2010, together with a group of friends, he helped establish the Buddhist Center in San José, Costa Rica, the city where he currently lives. Since 2021, he has been authorized by Lama Ole Nydahl to give Buddhist teachings. He is a partner in a real estate company and is the father of two children.
