Weekend of teachings and meditation with Carlinde Kallianiotis

Please join us on Friday and Saturday, October 25-26, for the Buddhist teachings, movie screening, and meditation with a traveling teacher Carlinde Kallianiotis, a student of Lama Ole Nydahl.

Carlinde Kallianiotis has been a student of Lama Ole Nydahl since 2004. Now living in Connecticut with her husband and daughter, she supports Diamond Way Buddhism activity across the US and is closely involved in running and organizing events at the Northeast Retreat Center. She is the CEO of a successful leadership communication training company in the US. Following Lama Ole’s request, she shares her experiences and teaches Diamond Way Buddhism.

Friday, October 25
7:00 pm - Lecture "Buddhism in the West" and Meditation
8:00 pm - Screening of the movie "Hannah: Buddhism's Untold Journey"
The movie tells the story of Hannah Nydahl and her adventure bringing Tibetan Buddhism to the West.
From her idealistic roots as a hippie in Copenhagen, the film follows Hannah and her husband Ole to the city of Kathmandu, where in 1968 they became two of the first Western students of His Holiness the 16th Karmapa – the first consciously reincarnated lama of Tibet. At the heart of the film lies an inspiring love story of Hannah and Ole and their unwavering dedication to bring Buddhism to the West.‘Hannah’ explores how the Buddhist ideal of freedom, in all its forms, is more relevant today than ever.

4 pm - Lecture "Impermanence"
followed by Q&A and Meditation.

No experience with meditation or Buddhism is needed; all are welcome!
